The Master of Science in Finance and Banking was established in 1995 and was the first Master’s programme in this field in a Greek university. Since it’s establishment, it continues to operate successfully as it is supported by the experienced academic staff of the only Department of Finance and Banking Management in Greece.

Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree either from national or overseas academic institutions.

  • Full Time Studies Duration:  3 academic semesters
  • Part Time Studies Duration: 4 academic semesters

DESCRIPTION & STRUCTURE

The Graduate Program in «Banking and Finance» has as a primary goal the promotion of scientific knowledge, educational training, and the students’ specialization in Banking and Finance.

In particularthe primary objectives of the program are:

  • The fundamentals of money and capital markets,
  • Portfolios diversification principles and asset pricing,
  • Corporate management,
  • Financial derivatives markets,
  • Sustainable (environmental) finance,
  • The link between economic policy and the macroeconomic environment with financial markets,
  • Risk management in financial and banking systems,
  • Monetary policy and the role of central banks,
  • Real estate and energy markets finance,
  • Mergers and acquisitions,
  • Financial accounting with emphasis on IFRS, and
  • Fintech.

The Goal of the Graduate Program is:

  • The advance of knowledge in relevance to the graduate program’s curriculum.
  • The development of research in Banking and Financial Management.
  • The satisfaction of the needs of a graduate program oriented to offer high-star talented people for firms in the public and the private sectors.
  • The development of people’s capacity in the corporate sector to further comprehend the complex and dynamic international economic environment.
