The purpose of the Laboratory is 1) to serve research and educational needs in matters related to ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR), ‘Socially Responsible Investing’ (SRI), green finance, sustainability reporting, and what is more generally understood as sustainable development in relation to the finance, banking and accounting disciplines, and, 2) to contribute to the collaboration of Department with the private and the public sector on issues related to sustainability finance.

To achieve its purpose, the Green Finance and Banking Laboratory is actively involved in actions such as:

– research on sustainability perspectives in the disciplines of finance, banking, and financial reporting and accounting;

– education of undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as executive training, to meet the needs of businesses, banks and organizations in the public and private sector;

– informing companies and banks about the constantly evolving sustainable practices and the accounting standards created to provide information about these topics;

– undertaking and executing applied research programs,

– organizing sustainability-related conferences and events,

– producing relevant informative material.
