It is also committed to provide quality education and research programs, as well as useful services for accommodating the needs of the academic community and society in general. To do this, the Department provides education that is human-centered, modern, accessible, equal and inclusive, based on international quality standards.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>This policy is based on and largely reproduces, with a few adjustments, the corresponding quality assurance policy adopted by the University of Piraeus.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5f82a28 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"5f82a28\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Quality Policy of the Department <\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31c4640 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"31c4640\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The Department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus implements a Quality Policy aiming at continuous improvement of its Educational Programs, research activities, and administrative services, with the goal of upgrading the research, teaching and administrative work, as well as the general work of its operation.<\/p><p>The desired outcomes of the Department&#8217;s Quality Policy are to deliver excellent education and ensure a high level of research. The Quality Policy relies on close cooperation between its teaching\/research personnel and the administrative staff so that the Department can continuously respond to the international challenges of educational excellence as well as the expectations of students, graduates, teaching, research and administrative staff, and institutions cooperating with the Department, and the society in general.<\/p><p>The Department with its Quality Policy commits to:<\/p><ul><li>being consistent with the broader institutional and legal framework of Higher Education, as well as the regulatory framework of the Department and the University, in particular,<\/li><li>setting, evaluating, and, if necessary, repositioning its goals ofquality assurance and ongoing improvement of the Postgraduate Programs, while, at the same time, guaranteeing the consistency of the latter with the University\u2019s overall strategy.<\/li><\/ul><p>The Department is committed to achieving quality goals by adopting a student-centered, academic and research strategy.<\/p><p>The aforementioned Policy is the tool that ensures the active participation of all interested parties (internal and external stakeholders), and the active participation of all members of the academic community (students, faculty and administrative staff) in the implementation of this policy.<\/p><p>Based on the above, the Department commits to implement procedures that will guarantee:<\/p><ul><li>the suitability of teaching and research staff qualifications<\/li><li>promoting the research work of its members<\/li><li>the suitability of the offered postgraduate study programs<\/li><li>the pursuit of learning outcomes and qualifications in accordance with the European and National Framework of Higher Education Qualifications<\/li><li>the alignment of graduates&#8217; qualifications with the labor market<\/li><li>the high quality of the supporting services (computer laboratory, administration office, student care, liaison office, library, internship, etc.)<\/li><\/ul><p>The collaboration of the MODIP members with the OMEA members of the department, and the administrative staff of the Postgraduate Program is considered imperative for:<\/p><ul><li>monitoring the implementation of quality objectives<\/li><li>carrying out internal evaluations in all of the Department&#8217;s activities<\/li><li>the implementation of corrective actions, where necessary (e.g., failure to achieve quality goals, etc.)<\/li><li>making decisions towards the continuous improvement of the quality of the Department\u2019s output.<\/li><\/ul><p>The members of the Internal Evaluation Committee disseminate the Quality Policy to all interested members of the Academic Unit.
