EUFIN 2023
18th Workshop on European Financial Reporting
The Department of Banking and Financial Management organised the 18th European Financial Reporting Group Conference EUFIN 2023
in collaboration with EAA´s journal Accounting in Europe, under the auspices of the EAA (European Accounting Association). This represented the first traditional international Conference in Accounting organized in Greece over the last 20 years.
The topic of Plenary session II of the conference was: ‘Sustainability reporting: What do we expect for sustainability reporting in the EU and the world following the adoption and implementation of the CSRD?’, and the invited speakers included:
- Begoña Giner, Professor of Accounting, University of Valencia, EAA Stakeholder Reporting Committee Chair and EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Board member,and
- Lina Lemessiou, Director of Professional Standards at Russell Bedford International, former EFRAG Senior Manager Sustainability,
in addition to sustainability practitioner experts from Greece;
- Stella Gounari, Director, Assurance, PWC Greece;and
- Panos Valantassis, Managing Partner Aegean Experts, FERMA Sustainability Committee member, ACCA representative.
