The creation of a sustainable economic environment that fosters clean energy and promotes the efficient management of environmental resources has been a major challenge for the World Community over the last decades. The Paris Agreement has reiterated the urgency to take action for meeting the climate change and to accelerate the reduction of global greenhouse gas emissions. To this aim, major stakeholders including national and supranational entities, private sector firms, financial institutions and academia, ought to be mobilized.
The Laboratory for Energy and Environmental Management (LEEM) contributes to the dialogue for the climate change, aiming at the research, consultancy and the provision of training courses related to energy and the management of environmental resources.
