| Mobility – Erasmus

Erasmus+ is a program of the European Commission for education, training, youth and sport, which aims to strengthen skills and employability, as well as to modernize education, training and youth systems, in all areas of Lifelong Learning. The Action of the Erasmus+ program for the field of Higher Education grants the mobility of students and staff to Higher Education Institutions in countries participating in the program.

The mobility of students and staff abroad is considered particularly important because students have the opportunity to develop new skills and qualifications, which contribute to their personal development. In particular, students are given the opportunity to improve their language skills, develop intercultural skills, be developed into European Citizens, while in addition students who move for internships may gain valuable work experience in a company/organization abroad. Furthermore, through mobility, the faculty members and staff of Academic Institutions are given the opportunity to upgrade their skills, exchange good practices and gain important experiences. Finally, the mobility of students and staff abroad increases the recognition of the Academic Institution/Academic Department and creates positive impact at European level.

The students of the MSc in Banking and Finance have the opportunity to move to universities in European countries for studies and/or internships through the Erasmus+ program KA131 & KA171, in accordance with the mobility regulation of the MSc or according to the decisions of the respective bodies of the Department and/or University. Promoting academic excellence, the University has established and implements certain criteria for the selection of outgoing students, with a primary focus on their academic performance.

The students are informed from the University of Piraeus Department of International and Public Relations (https://www.unipi.gr/en/department-of-international-and-public-relations/) and the designated Academic Advisor of the Department of Banking and Financial Management, Assistant Professor N. Englezos (englezos@unipi.gr).

The mobility takes place at the academic institutions with which the Department has entered into a bilateral cooperation agreement and are given by the table below:
