The M.Sc. in Financial Technology (Fintech) has been designed in a manner to equip graduate students with modern knowledge and the necessary technical tools in relevance to applications in the area of financial technology; as a result, graduate students will be well prepared to follow a successful career in the new field of banking and finance.

To program accepts graduates with a Bachelor’s degree from domestic and overseas universities.

DESCRIPTION & STRUCTURE

The M.Sc. in Financial Technology (Fintech) provides to students specialized knowledge in certain areas in finance in relevance to the operation of certain markets, such as cryptocurrencies and blockchain, as well as the employment of certain platform tools that handle big data/data analytics. The primary characteristics of the program are the combination of academic knowledge and the professional experience of the instructors, along with the composition of various course fields.

The Goal of the Graduate Program is:

  • The deep knowledge of Financial Technology.
  • Students’ training in the new environment of financial markets formed by the latest technological novelties. This environment makes a perfect combination between skills in finance and those in applied informatics.
  • The way the Program is organized in a sense that combines the theoretical analysis with the empirical applications within the region of financial services.
  • The preparation of professionals who can easily responded to the increased demand for people with adequate knowledge in financial issues, along with the use of data analytics and mathematics and language programming, so as they can enhance the productivity and efficiency of traditional financial institutions ready to generate, offer and support new financial products and services.
  • To satisfy the market for increased demand for professionals specialized in Financial Technology, since this market needs to modernize, in an electronic manner, many activities offered by the traditional financial institutions, to reduce their operating costs, to increase their productivity, and to offer new, innovative, and technological improved products and services, so as to increase their competitive advantage against the FinTech firms.
