PRESS RELEASE

In June 2019, the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus signed an agreement of mutual collaboration and support with the CFA Society Greece.

This agreement confirms the mutual formal support and collaboration of the Department of Banking and Financial Management with the CFA Society Greece.

The Department of Banking and Financial Management becomes an Academic supporter of the CFA Society Greece, and this collaboration aims at advancing the academic efforts of both parties, and at encouraging the participation of their members in such actions, as well as actively developing such actions. These actions refer to mutual support of academic issues and activities, organizing common educational events e.g., training sessions and academic and practitioner conferences and events addressed to the members of both organizations, organizing presentation sessions of the CFA Program for the students of the Department of Banking and Financial Management, and encouraging the students of the Department to appreciate the benefits of attaining the CFA Charter and participating in the process of acquiring the Charter.

This agreement of the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus with the CFA Society Greece comes almost simultaneously with the acceptance of its MSc Programs in Banking and Finance (with specialization in Banking and financial Management offered as a full-time program, and Specialization in Finance and Investments, offered as a part-time program) into the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program.

In this way, the Department of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus becomes the first University Department in Greece to have its MSc Program included in the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program while being an Academic supporter of the local CFA Society Greece.
