In theory, the students begin their research in the second year of their studies, after the successful completion of the first-year core courses.
In practice, however, they get acquainted with and involved in research from their very first day in the program, through their work as teaching and research assistants, their active participation in the weekly academic seminar and their own presentations in the weekly doctoral seminar.
