Protagonists in the weekly doctoral seminar are the students themselves. They present their work in progress to faculty members and fellow students.
In this way, the students get constructive feedback early on in their research. Additionally, they get experience in presenting their work to demanding audiences.
As for the faculty members, they monitor on a continuous basis the progress of the doctoral students.
