RESEARCH POLICY AND SUPPORT OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

RESEARCH POLICY AND SUPPORT OF RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
DEPARTMENT OF BANKING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

The Department aims to support financially targeted high-quality research activities that are relevant to the scientific fields of the department. In particular, every faculty member
and doctoral or postdoctoral candidate, as well as every student (undergraduate or graduate) that is a member of a departmental research team, has the opportunity to participate in the
following research activities:

Α) Supply of electronic equipment that is essential and necessary for the research output of  the department.
B) Supply of data bases that are essential and necessary for the generation of high-quality research output.
C) Support for the participation of researchers in national and international scientific conferences that are helpful to their research activities.
D) Support for the publication of research output in academic journals through the reimbursement of submission fees.
E) Support for the organization of academic seminars and the invitation of respected members of the international academic community.
F) Provision of funding for new research projects and ideas that can be potentially publishable in high-quality journals.

The specific amounts to be allocated to the above research activities are decided by the department’s general assembly on a case-by-case basis. Furthermore, the above list is not
restrictive. The general assembly may occasionally decide (after an appropriate evaluation process by a departmental committee) to support research activities that are not included in
the above list.
