Overview:

Diamantopoulou Lydia is an Assistant Professor of Financial Accounting at the University of Piraeus, Department of Banking and Financial Management. She studied Business Administration, majoring in Finance, at the Department of Business Administration of the University. She obtained an MSc in Finance and Accounting with specialization in Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business and completed her studies obtaining her Ph.D. Diploma at the University of Piraeus, in the Department of Business Administration. She has extensive teaching experience in the field of Financial Accounting at undergraduate and postgraduate level.


Research:

Dr. Diamantopoulou’s research, professional and teaching interests fall in the areas of market-based accounting research, with extensions towards corporate finance, and also involve managerial performance evaluation and corporate governance, and accounting quality and earnings management topics. Her publications have appeared in the Journal of Corporate Finance and European Journal of Finance.
