| Learning Outcomes
Upon the completion of the Graduate Program in «Banking and Finance», the graduates will have obtained the necessary equipment and advantages. More specifically, the graduate will be able to:
- Recognize and determine the risks associated with banking institutions and the ways to handle them,
- Recognize the economic and legal environment within which firms and financial entities operate, even though some of the graduates come from a different sector. Moreover, the graduates will be able to handle various challenges and opportunities associated with these firms and financial organizations,
- Detect the role and the ‘value added’ of the financial system (banks),
- Comprehend the asset pricing methodologies,
- Critically approach scientific papers, as well as financial studies offered by international organizations (such as, IMF, World Bank, BIS), central banks, regulatory authorities, as well as commercial and investment banks, financial advisor firms,
- Obtain and analyze economic and financial data that can help them to generate financial studies,
- Examine and study case studies, which will allow them to enhance their knowledge on financial matters and issues, which will also enable them to deal and solve complex practical issues in relevance to their job environment,
- Analyze the needs of the economic factors that determine the performance of financial products, as well as the main features of those products and the risks linked to them; At the same time, they will be capable of using accounting principles to recommend the appropriate means through which both forms and banks can improve their efficiency,
- Evaluate investment projects and alternative funding sources,
- Efficiently collaborate to complete team works and studies,
- Adapt to changing and more demanded requirements set by markets,
- Keep the professional rules set by the job environments and according to the standards set by corporate social responsibility criteria,
- Seek to serve social responsibility standards for firms and banking institutions.
