| Duration, Tuition Fees and Funding

Duration of Studies

The time duration of the program is three (3) semesters for the full-time program, plus one (1) semester for the part-time program, including a thesis.

The maximum allowed time of studies is five (5) semesters for the full-time version of the program, plus one (1) semester for the part-time version of the program. For special and important reasons, the Department may decide the extension of this maximum time. Upon reaching the maximum allowed time, students must withdraw themselves from the program.

Tuition Fees

The cost of tuition fees is 6.000 €. For the full-time version of the program the tuition fees are 2.000 euros per semester, while for the part-time version of the program the tuition fees are 1.500 euros per semester. The payment of those fees occurs at the beginning of each semester and on a date announced by the Secretariat Office. The first semester fees do not include the amount students pay to secure their position in the program upon their notifications of their acceptance notice.

Removal of tuition fees

The accepted graduate students are entitled to ask for the removal of tuition fees based on the Law:

4957/2022 – Άρθρο 86

FEK 4899.Β-17-09-2022 No-paid graduate studies

FEK 4837.Β-01.08.2023 National disposable income

The application for the fees removal is electronically submitted to https://apply.xrh.unipi.gr/apallages  following the students’ registration process and at specific dates announced by the Secretariat Office.

The total number of students entitled for tuition fees removal cannot exceed the 30% of total registered students per academic year. In cases where the applications are greater than this percentage, the selection process begins from those with the lowest disposable income.  The successful applicants receive the amount of tuition fees they have already paid.

Suspension of Studies

The graduate students are entitled to apply for an extension of the time duration of their studies only if they can provide serious excuses; however, this time cannot exceed two (2) consecutive semesters. These two semesters are not part of the formal maximum time of studies.
