Το βραβείο του Best Applied Article για το 2022 (άρθρα που δημοσιεύθηκαν το 2021) έλαβε από το Journal of Benefit-Cost Analysis το άρθρο “Open Access in Scientific Information: Sustainability Model and Business Plan for the Infrastructure and Organization of OpenAIRE”, στη συγγραφή του οποίου συμμετείχε ο καθηγητής του Τμήματος Νικόλαος Κουρογένης μαζί με τους Φοίβη Κουντούρη, Νίκο Χατζησταμούλου, Osiel González Dávila, Αμέρισσα Γιαννούλη, Αναστάσιο Ξεπαπαδέα, και Πέτρο Ξεπαπαδέα.
