The M.Sc “Financial Management of Public Organizations and Units” was founded in 2021 and is adapted to all contemporary needs and trends of financial management and financing in the public sector. It aims to offer the tools for career advancement in positions of responsibility in public organizations and units (ministries, audit authorities, local government units, public organizations, and in general, legal entities of public law).

The Program is addressed to university graduates (graduates of the first cycle of studies) in accordance with the current legislation.

Duration of Full-Time Studies: 2 academic semesters.

DESCRIPTION & STRUCTURE

The Postgraduate Studies Program (M.Sc.) “Financial Management of Public Organizations and Units” provides theoretical and practical knowledge and skills at postgraduate level in the field of Financial Management, especially focused on the broad Public Sector. Among the main features of the program stands out the combination of academic knowledge and professional experience of the teachers.

 

The objectives of the Program are:

  • The promotion of knowledge in the specific subject of the postgraduate program.
  • The significant enhancement of the essential qualifications of public officials and employees in the field of Financial Management with specialized postgraduate knowledge.
  • The cultivation and development of interest of public sector executives, and the understanding of the increasingly complex and dynamic international economic environment.
  • The significant enhancement of the ability of public administration to staff positions, which require an in-depth understanding of the financial function of the public sector and the wider financial system using existing human resources, and
  • The enhancement of the financial efficiency of public organizations and units through the scientific training of their personnel.
